Senior Full Stack Engineer

SAEKI - Manufacturing at software speedEurope's defense industrial base cannot respond at the speed modern conflict requires. Legacy suppliers operate on month-long timelines. Tribal knowledge is retiring. Supply chains are fragile. SAEKI is building the operating system for autonomous factories — the infrastructure that lets Europe manufacture mission-critical components at software speed. Every part we make generates data, decisions, and handoffs. Your job is to capture that knowledge, automate the work around it, and remove whatever slows production down. When a critical defense program needs parts by next week, the systems you build are why we can deliver. The RoleAs a Full-Stack Software Engineer on our manufacturing intelligence team, you'll work wherever the leverage is highest. One week that means turning an operator's spreadsheet into a proper workflow; the next it means wiring machine data into scheduling, or cutting a manual quoting step out of the order flow. You'll own problems end to end across our customer portal, Enterprise Resource Planning / Manufacturing Execution System, and the data layer connecting them to the shop floor. Based at our HQ at “The Circle” (Zurich airport), your work will span: • Manufacturing Intelligence: Capturing process, machine, and quality data so knowledge lives in systems instead of in people's heads. • Automation: Replacing manual steps in quoting, planning, scheduling, and documentation with software that runs on its own. • Production Acceleration: Finding the bottlenecks between CAD/CAM data submission and shipped parts. • Tools for People: Building interfaces that make life easier for operators, engineers, and customers, whether that's a work instruction screen, a dashboard, or a self-service portal. Importantly, you do not need prior experience in the manufacturing domain. We value a high level of curiosity and autonomy to find and solve problems. What We're Looking For • Experience: 3+ years as a software engineer with proven experience in shipping code to production, across backend and frontend • Broad Technical Range: Experience in systems design, architecture and implementation. In general, you don’t shy away from new technologies and pick up whatever the problem requires. Our current tech stack is: Rust, PostgreSQL, React, Python, AWS. • End-to-End Ownership: From talking to the user, to schema, to API, to UI, to rollout. You don't hand off "the other half." • Industrial Grit: Comfortable spending time on the shop floor in Germany to understand how work actually happens and how your software interacts with precision machinery. • Autonomy: You are comfortable with diving into new topics, coming up with solutions and driving their implementation • Bonus points: Knowledge of manufacturing and how factories operate, basic understanding of the Manufacturing Automation Pyramid • On-site: Ability to work in person at our HQ in Zurich, Switzerland. What we're not looking for • Engineers who only work on frontend or only work on backend. You must be comfortable across the full stack. • People who need detailed specs before they start building. You'll work directly with users and define the solution yourself. • Developers who ship code and move on. You own the outcome — not just the PR. • Engineers who are uncomfortable with ambiguity or rapidly changing priorities. What we offer • Mission: Rebuild the industrial sovereignty of Europe. Your work directly enables the production of mission-critical hardware for defense and space • Total Ownership: High-stakes autonomy in your domain. You own both the problems and the solutions, and have the authority to execute. • The Environment: You are building solutions to accelerate production in a 5,000 m² state-of-the-art facility featuring 5-axis CNCs, industrial robots, and industrial plastic and metal 3D printers. Your work affects production of physical parts from day one. • The Team: Growing team of experienced software engineers, who value an open feedback culture. You may (and are expected to) challenge the status quo, prior decisions and drive SAEKI’s way forward. • Compensation: Competitive salary + meaningful equity. • Location: Zurich HQ with occasional travel to Factory ONE in Munich, Germany Apply • Resume: Focus on systems you've built and owned.
