Technical Delivery Lead - Machine Learning

Join Our Team as a Technical Delivery Lead at Beyond Sports Are you excited about machine learning, technical leadership, and building the systems powering the future of sports entertainment? At Beyond Sports, we don’t just visualize sports, we reinvent how fans experience them. Together with partners like NFL, NHL, FIFA, and Disney, we push the boundaries of real-time sports data, 3D graphics, and AI-driven storytelling. If you’re passionate about leading technical teams, scaling machine learning systems, and staying hands-on with engineering while shaping delivery strategy, this could be your next move. What Your Day Will Look Like As a Technical Delivery Lead, you’ll sit at the center of engineering execution, technical strategy, and machine learning innovation. Your role combines leadership with hands-on development. You’ll guide engineering squads delivering complex AI-driven systems while contributing directly to architecture, Proof of Concepts, and high-complexity technical challenges. You’ll work closely with Machine Learning Engineers, Tech Leads, Technical Architects, Product teams, and creatives to build intelligent systems that transform live sports data into immersive digital experiences. One day you might be shaping scalable ML pipelines for motion synthesis and trajectory prediction. The next, you could be prototyping cloud-hosted inference services, reviewing technical approaches, or stepping into the codebase to unblock delivery. You’ll help teams apply cutting-edge ML techniques, including Transformers, Graph Neural Networks, Diffusion models, and real-time geometry pipelines, while ensuring solutions remain scalable, maintainable, and production-ready. Because we believe leadership starts with technical credibility, you’ll stay hands-on at your core. Around 60% of your time will involve active engineering work: building POCs, solving difficult technical problems, improving tooling, and supporting critical delivery initiatives. You’ll also help evolve engineering standards, delivery practices, and technical governance across the business. What We Value At Beyond Sports, we move fast, experiment boldly, and trust our people. We believe the best results happen when engineers, artists, ML specialists, and creatives work together to build things that genuinely haven’t existed before. You’ll fit right in if you: • Love applied machine learning and engineering leadership • Enjoy turning ambitious ideas into scalable production systems • Stay hands-on technically and enjoy solving difficult problems • Think in systems, architecture, and long-term scalability • Communicate complex technical ideas clearly • Care deeply about quality, maintainability, and technical standards • Stay curious about modern ML, cloud, and real-time technologies Your Background You don’t need to tick every box, but we’re generally looking for: • Strong experience in software engineering, technical delivery, or technical leadership • Experience deploying ML systems into production, including serving, monitoring, and retraining • Experience leading or mentoring engineering squads • Hands-on experience building and training deep learning models in PyTorch • Familiarity with MLOps tooling such as MLflow and CI/CD workflows • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience with sequence models (e.g. transformers, RNNs) or generative models (e.g. diffusion, flow, or GANs) — applied to any domain; experience with spatiotemporal, time-series, or motion/trajectory data is a strong plus. • Experience balancing leadership responsibilities with active development • Strong stakeholder communication and delivery planning skills Nice to Have (But Not Required) • Strong understanding of scalable systems, APIs, and cloud-native architectures • Understanding of real-time data systems or 3D graphics pipelines • Experience with Unity or game engines • Interest in football or other team sports Why Level Up Your Career at Beyond Sports Fast-moving, creative, and technically ambitious — that’s our world. • High impact: Your work shapes how millions experience sports globally • Technical ownership: Influence architecture, delivery strategy, and engineering standards • Hands-on innovation: Help build the future of our technology stack • Constant learning: From ML research to real-time 3D systems, there’s always something new • Real collaboration: Engineers, artists, and product teams working side by side Ready to Build the Future of Sports? If you’re excited about leading technical delivery while staying deeply involved in machine learning, real-time systems, and scalable engineering — and want to help shape technology that changes how fans experience the game — we’d love to hear from you. At Beyond Sports, you won’t just deliver technical projects. You’ll help bring sports to life! Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow
