Designer, Web Presence & Platform

Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team: Web Presence & Platform (WPP) is organized into two pillars: Platform and Presence. The Platform pillar builds internal systems, tooling, and infrastructure to support the web. The Presence pillar owns Stripe’s public-facing storytelling across stripe.com, including our homepage, product landing pages, industry and solutions pages, and other high-impact go-to-market surfaces. Together, we shape how millions of people understand what Stripe is and what it can do for them. Designers on the Presence team work at the intersection of craft and impact—balancing clarity, polish, and systems thinking with strategic storytelling and experimentation. We collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, content, and product to deliver work that is not only beautiful, but measurably moves the business. What you’ll do As a Designer on the Presence team, you'll contribute to the strategy and execution of Stripe’s most visible web surfaces. This is a high-impact role for a thoughtful, collaborative designer who deeply values visual craft, user clarity, and iteration. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to operate at the intersection of storytelling, systems, and scale—and who takes pride in the pixels. If you meet these, we encourage you to apply—even if you don’t meet every preferred qualification. Minimum requirements • 2–4 years of relevant design experience, ideally in web or product marketing contexts • A strong portfolio of web design work that demonstrates exceptional visual design skills, systems thinking, and attention to detail • Ability to independently scope and lead small to medium-sized projects • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset • Fluency in layout, typography, color, hierarchy, and interaction fundamentals • Comfortable using Figma and working in component-based systems • Experience working on CMS-driven websites and modular systems Preferred qualifications • Familiarity with front-end development workflows or an ability to speak fluently with engineers • Understanding of web performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices • Experience designing for international audiences or multilingual websites • Previous experience in fast-paced, cross-functional environments How we work We care deeply about craft—but also about moving with urgency and focus. We seek feedback early and often, because we believe design gets stronger through collaboration and iteration. We keep our users front and center—whether that’s a small business owner evaluating Stripe for the first time, or a CTO trying to understand a complex product at a glance. And we take pride in delivering work that is not only beautiful and precise, but that delivers clear, measurable impact. We value curiosity, humility, and resilience. You’ll do well here if you love to learn, enjoy working across disciplines, and bring energy and optimism into your work. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow. Designers on the Presence team have gone on to lead major product launches, shape system-wide improvements, and take on leadership roles. You'll be supported by experienced peers and have space to develop your craft, influence, and ownership over time.
