Video Editor / Creative Producer - Marketing & Direct Response

About Scaling.com Scaling.com is a high-end research and advisory firm helping established entrepreneurs scale their businesses 10x and build companies that no longer depend on the founder. We combine original research, books, strategic advising, and a modern media engine to reach leaders who are ready to make consequential changes. Our books are central to that mission. The Science of Scaling is a primary path into our work, and Power Law Strategy is the next major expression of it. Our creative library includes bestselling books, major podcast appearances, founder interviews, case studies, live events, trainings, and hundreds of verified customer stories. We are building a creative team with the intellectual depth of a research firm, the taste of a premium editorial studio, and the accountability of a serious performance business. If you want to make work that has substance, measurable impact, and room for original judgment, this could be the defining work of your career. The Mission Create performance video that earns the attention and trust of serious entrepreneurs and moves the right people toward Scaling.com. We are building toward at least 40 qualified, attended enrollment calls and 10 or more enrollments per day. Your work helps create the qualified demand behind that goal. The path is straightforward: a strong idea and credible source material become a persuasive video ad; paid distribution gives us real feedback; that feedback makes the next piece better. The work must be both beautiful and effective. Attention without trust is not enough, and polish without response is not enough. What This Role Is This is a hands-on performance-video role. You will receive a developed angle, key lines, source material, brand context, and performance learning. With editorial judgment and room to experiment, you will turn a strong idea into a finished paid-social ad that earns attention, builds trust, and moves the right founder to act. Think like a creative partner: understand the business idea behind the ad, spot when an angle or edit weakens the argument, and propose a better way through. The right piece can bring a founder to ideas that change how they build and lead. You own the creative translation: approved footage, testimonials, B-roll, voiceover, motion graphics, typography, pacing, sound, color, and captions. Build and edit in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. In Premiere, you’ll build the narrative, design the sound with music and sound effects, and add appropriate visuals. In After Effects, you’ll design and animate typography, callouts, and explanatory visuals. Protect the accuracy and context of source material, research, and customer stories. Deliver organized, editable projects with traceable sources, then create purposeful variations informed by performance. Our production workflow uses Adobe Premiere Pro for editing and Adobe After Effects for motion graphics. Editors currently using DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro are welcome to apply, but must use Premiere Pro for team editing and project handoffs once they join. Hands-on After Effects proficiency is required. You will work within Kevin Anson’s established process for source review, creative development, feedback, versioning, and delivery. Use AI to improve speed and execution while retaining responsibility for the finished work. Who You'll Work With • Raleigh Norton, Head of Brand: Sets company-level creative direction, messaging, and the final standard. • Cody Wood, Media Buyer: Shares performance feedback, economics, and what is winning at scale. • Ben Lee Milner and the creative strategy/ad-writing team: Develop angles, hooks, scripts, and proof. • Kevin Anson, Head of Performance Post-Production: Leads the editors, directs post-production, sets the quality bar, and helps the team improve. Requirements Three Requirements • Proven performance at scale. You have personally produced and edited direct-response paid-social video for high-consideration business, founder-led, or thought-leadership offers, not just organic content or impulse-buy consumer products. Show the work, your ownership, and credible conversion or business results. • High character. You take responsibility, tell the truth early, receive feedback without ego, and make the people around you better. Teammates trust you when the work is hard. • Taste that converts. You can turn nuanced research, founder-led thought leadership, or high-consideration business offers into premium video assets for a top 1%, deep-thinker audience. This is an artisan-level creative role with real stakes and a chance to do the best work of your career. Game knows game. If that's you, we want to meet you!
